COVID-19 Service Updates
As we head into another lockdown, in line with the Government guidance, we would like to reassure all our patients that this time we will remain open and available. Health care providers were asked to remain open and people encouraged to use their services as this will help to prevent disease and further burden on the NHS.
Following the previous lockdown we have developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and invested heavily in PPE, cleaning equipment and Air quality that provides a safe environment for both our patients and staff.
The new normal in dentistry means that we are now available more hours than ever and appointments are available from 8am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 5pm on a Friday. With the increased access it allows us to see more patients whilst maintaining good social distancing and a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Due to the chaotic announcement and implementation of the previous lockdown we are aware that a number of patients had cancelled appointments and may not have heard form us yet to rearrange, if you feel you are due an appointment then please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We hope everyone remains well and healthy, thank you for your patience, if you would like to request an appointment please call our reception team or email us on
Firstly, we hope everyone is remaining well and would like to thank all of our patients for their well wishes and support.
We have now been back in practice since early June although its not quite as you remember it! We have put measures in place to ensure the safety of both patients and staff, and although we had “teething” (sorry) problems to begin with are now increasing our capacity and are able to carry out more routine dentistry.
PPE – We managed to source all the required PPE and are able to provide patients with aerosol generating procedures (those involving the drills or ultrasonic cleaners).
Fallow time – The most complicated part of our return to dentistry is the required “fallow time”. This means that after any aerosol generating procedure, we must leave the room empty to let the aerosol settle, as you can imagine this makes the timing and organising of the surgery space exceedingly complicated.
Forms – Due to the pandemic we have had to introduce rigorous screening procedures for anyone attending the practice. This has meant a large increase in the amount of forms required before you attend and is placing a considerable burden on our reception staff, please bear this in mind if you are having trouble getting in contact via the phone. We have invested in a new online portal which allows you to complete many of these tasks from home using your unique login which will be emailed or texted to you before your appointment.
Cross infection – Dentistry has always had very stringent cross infection controls and we not only meet but exceed all of these conditions, with the pandemic these controls have been increased and we have invested in aerosol fogging machines, these produce a fine mist of virucidal hypochlorous acid which fills the room eliminating any airborne virus.
Thank you for your patience, if you would like to request an appointment please call our reception team or email us on
