Dentistry Services ELGIN PARK DENTAL PRACTICE
General Dentistry
We are able to offer all routine dentistry services focused on prevention and ensuring that you have good oral hygiene and dental health. Through regular preventative treatment we aim to ensure that you do not have any issues such as cavities, decay or gum disease. If required we use the latest restorative procedures to repair the effects of tooth decay, trauma, defect or disease in these areas.
Most people visit a dentist either when they are in pain or when they are looking for a radical change. Before a change in appearance it is essential that your oral care is looked after by means of regular check-ups and oral health maintenance. Our treatment plans can help prevent the development of serious dental problems that could require costly treatment.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dental treatments include techniques that restore, whiten or straighten your teeth. We take great pride in our ability to realise a patient’s ambition to change their appearance and smile with confidence. Through extensive consultation with you we will discuss what is possible and all the benefits of the procedures and any costs. Some procedures can now be completed in a single visit with CEREC.
Your smile is often one of the first things someone notices about you, and people often make a judgement about you based on your smile.
There are many different procedures in the field of cosmetic dentistry to help a variety of aesthetic problems, and our treatments could make the most dramatic improvement to your appearance.
Children's Dentistry
We want to provide a comfortable and friendly experience for all patients who visit Elgin Park Dental Practice. Fears and phobias caused by dentists in childhood can leave lasting effects and we are very aware that making children feel at ease is vitally important. We aim to provide preventative treatment with regular examinations to prevent the need for treatments.
Quick painless preventative treatments - fissure sealants and fluoride varnish:
Fissure sealants can be done once your child’s permanent teeth have started to come through (usually at the age of about six or seven) to protect them from decay. This is where the chewing surfaces of the back teeth are covered with a special thin plastic coating to keep germs and food particles out of the grooves. The sealant can last for as long as 5 to 10 years.
Fluoride varnish can be applied to both baby teeth and adult teeth. The process involves painting a varnish containing high levels of fluoride onto the surface of the tooth every six months to prevent decay. It works by strengthening tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay.
